i can picture: when i read this paragraph i thought about the prisoner. he seemed as if he had been there a long time. he was continuously counting the steps back and forth. He must have gone insane from being their so long. i feel bad for the prisoner

i can picture: this paragraph has alot of imagery in it and when i read it i pictured corridors and corridors continuously going on and on with doors that lock behind all of them, and what suprised me was the fact all of the women were knitting and sewing. as if they weren't in a prison and they were just at home.

i predicted right: earlier in the chapter when Charles Darnay was given an escort i had predicted that he would need it and be thankful for it later in the chapter. if it wasnt for the escort right now Darnay would not have eluded the crowd, or more like an angry mob. They tried to break through the gate but the escort was two quick

I predict that...: when i read this paragraph the first literary term that came to my mind was foreshadowing. Charles Darnay doesn't want the escort but i think that he will need it soon, or else Charles Dickens wouldn't have mentioned the escort. I think that the escort will help him sooner or later in the chapter.
