Trusting your first instinct.: From reading this paragraph and without going further it seems obvious that maybe this "long John Silver" just maybe the person that the Captain(Billy Bones) told Jim to be on the look out for. But for now, he seems different. Let's see how he develops through the story. The question is: is it always safer and the wisest idea to trust your first instinct? Or is it better to ignore it?
