Abby Mims

Abby Mims has never led a team of sled dogs into the Alaskan Wilderness, but she does have to tame the roving packs of Portland bar patrons when cocktailing to support her writing habit. She has published short stories in Swink, Other Voices and The Santa Monica Review and a portion of her memoir-in-progress, "Leaving Death at The Restaurant," has been anthologized in Woman's Best Friend: Woman Writers on the Dogs in Their Lives. She received an MFA from UC Irvine in 2004 and is currently at work on a collection of essays, along with that memoir-in-progress. See more of her work at abbymims.com.
