I'm mostly a magazine reader. If I try to read a novel in bed, I conk out right away. I am interested in trying to read classics in this new format - upright, during daylight hours!

Insight; Timelessness; Inspiration.
"The great thing is to last, and get your work done, and see, and hear, and learn, and understand. And write when there is something that you know; and not before; and not too damned much after. Let those who want to save the world if you can see it clear and as a whole. Then any part you make will represent the whole if it is made truly. The thing to do is work and learn to make it." (E. Hemingway).

I generally enjoy reading classic literature, plays, and short stories with a bit of romance involved, though that's not a necessary criteria.
Some examples of works I've enjoyed include:
- Heart of Darkness
- Oedipus Rex
- Rebecca
- Story of an Hour
- The Painted Veil
- The Count of Monte Cristo
- Pride and Prejudice

Taste, what an interesting concept. I often wonder if my taste is good, or for that matter where are my "taste buds" for non-editable items. Did I burn them at some point and is it affecting my taste for such, non-editable, things. At any rate I have seemingly developed an extended appetite for the philosophical and tend to side dish that with classical literature.

i don't like books that are classics or 'intellectual' just by default, that everyone says they love, just because everyone else says they should.
