SOME one has said that if any man would faithfully write his autobiography, giving truly his own history and experiences, the ills and joys, the haps and mishaps that had fallen to his lot, he could not fail to make an interesting story; and Disraeli makes Sidonia say that there is romance in every life. How much romance, as well as sad reality, there is in the life of a man who, among other experiences, has married seven wives, and has been seven times in prison-solely on account of the seven wives, may be learned from the pages that follow.

On the first Monday of the month of April, 1625, the market town of Meung, in which the author of ROMANCE OF THE ROSE was born, appeared to be in as perfect a state of revolution as if the Huguenots had just made a second La Rochelle of it.

Paranormal romance is my favorite, but contemporary romance and fantasy books are a close second.

I'll read just about everything except sappy romance. I'm drawn more toward mysteries or thrillers, with a dash of sci-fi. I like graphic novels. I also like non-fiction.

I generally enjoy reading classic literature, plays, and short stories with a bit of romance involved, though that's not a necessary criteria. Some examples of works I've enjoyed include: - Heart of Darkness - Oedipus Rex - Rebecca - Story of an Hour - The Painted Veil - The Count of Monte Cristo - Pride and Prejudice

Typical overgrown boy fiction. Murder mysteries, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, graphic novels and anything else that excites your typical geek. I also like regular old standard popular fiction, sports writing (but not so much with the memoirs) and anything to do with art in any of it's many forms. And kid's books (picture books). Good stuff. Really, I guess I'll read anything except romance. Not a big fan of the romance.
